Why do my Maisha Survey points seem to disappear?

This means you had previously participated in Survey Maisha and surveys can only be responded to once.  Please select 'view points' under the 'my voicesafrica' section to confirm that you had already participated and were awarded points for Survey Maisha in the past.  You can also click 'download my list of awards' to save a full list of your awarded survey points, which can easily be opened in Microsoft Excel.

What should I do if I forget my password?

If you lost your password but know your username, please click the ‘forgot login’ link by the login area. Click ‘reminder needed for lost password’. Then, enter your Username and your E-mail Address, press the Send Password button, and you will receive a new password in your mail shortly. Use this new password to access the site.

What should I do if I forget both my username and password?

If you forgot both your username and your password, please click the ‘forgot login’ link by the login area. Click BOTH ‘reminder needed for lost username’ and ‘reminder needed for lost password’. You will need to recover your username first by entering your E-mail Address, then click the ‘Send Username’ button, and your username will be sent to your email address. Once received, follow the procedure outlined in this FAQ to recover your password.

Am I allowed to find surveys on my own or do I have to be invited to participate in them?

Apart from the surveys that you are invited to, you can also take part in the surveys posted on our website under the "Participate in surveys" menu tab. New surveys are posted weekly.

Why don't I get phone calls from your staff and which criterion is used to pick those who get called?

Phone numbers are randomly selected from our database. Our surveys require different respondent profiles based on the target respondent for specific products / services. Please always update your contacts on your voicesafrica.com profile.

How come other panelists have more points than can be gained from those in the participate in surveys page?

Additional points are gained from participating in customized client surveys. Our call centre - based interviewers will call you to engage you in some of these types of surveys and you will get email surveys via the email id registered with us.

Why is information about other members of my household asked for during the registration process?

It helps us in getting an accurate profile of the population as a whole. When you respond to one of our surveys, you represent multiple users. It’s very helpful for us to know what the average household looks like. And because you share basic information about your household members (such as age, occupation, etc.), at times we may ask you if someone else in your household may be interested in participating in a specific survey.

When can I start redeeming my points?

 

You need a minimum of 20,000 points for your first redemption.

How else can I easily sign-in?

 

You can sign in with your username and password and click the 'remember me' option but make sure you do this on a personal computer to ensure your privacy is protected

Is it unlawful to participate in the same survey several times?

You are not expected to fill the same survey more than once and no additional points will be awarded in such instances

How do I enter the token in the space provided if I cannot first access my email to see the given token?

 

Contact your email account provider to request for access rights to your email account

Why am I not able to fill in a survey with the token you have emailed me?

 

Tokens emailed to you must be used within the specified time-frame, as they expire.

Why do I get a statement popping up with a suggestion that a mandatory question hasn't been answered?

 

A question with an asterisk (*) beside it is mandatory, so you must answer it to proceed with the survey. Please review the survey to establish the mandatory questions you have not responded to.

What do I do if I participated in a survey but do not see points awarded?

What should I do if the Adwatch survey clips are not playing?

If I am away, can I get someone else to complete my surveys for me?

Unfortunately once you have personally registered with the Voices Africa panel, only you can complete the surveys. However, your family and friends are welcome to join the panel separately.

Will I be penalized if I do not complete a survey that is sent to me?

You won't be penalized if you do not complete a survey.

If I am not able to complete a survey after I have started, do I have to start the survey from the beginning again?

If the survey has not been completed (in one go) due to any reason and you wish to continue later, then you can press the resume later button and fill in a few details like name, password and email id. You will be sent a link to restart the same survey where it was interrupted and you can complete it at you own convenience.

How do I update the information I mentioned during the Registration Process when I first joined the Voices Africa Panel?

Your Member Profile webpage is available to you on our site at any time. Please click on the Update Profile link to access it on your personal webpage.

Does Voices Africa provide incentives for participation in surveys?

Yes, we provide incentives for participating in our surveys. Our surveys will earn you reward points per completed survey.

Can I have more than one Voices Africa Panel account?

Membership is restricted to one account per person. More than one person of the household can register; however, each joining member must have a separate email address for us to send out invitations to join in.

Is there a cost to joining the Voices Africa Panel?

No! Participation is completely voluntary and free. There is no charge or fee to join the Voices Africa Panel. In fact, you are entitled to reward points when you complete our surveys!

Who can I talk to if I have any Privacy concerns?

Is there any extra software I will need on my computer to do the surveys?

No.

Why do I need to fill the personal details during the Registration process?

This will help us to understand which surveys best suit you.

To make sure the surveys we send you match your interests, characteristics (demographics such as age, gender, etc.), geographic location (state or country where you live), we rely on the information you provide during the registration process.

It also helps us to create a panel of consumers that represents the entire population.

How do I become a member of the Voices Africa Panel?

To become a member of the panel simply click on join voices Africa today / Register link and you will be taken to the New Member Sign-up page of the site where you can fill the Your personal Details (Demographic details like age, gender, education etc ) and also choose unique user name and password for future access to your account (i.e. your personal webpage).

I'd like to do these surveys but I have no web access - can you post them to me or can I do them over the phone?

Unfortunately there is no other way to take part in these online surveys but to log in at the Voices Africa website. But there can be a separate set of surveys for which you can be called on your primary contact number.
